Supplementary training for specific course “Sealed radioactive sources and industrial x-ray devices” for radiation protection officers and other persons responsible for radiation protection related to non medical applications of activity radioactive sealed sources (HASS) according to General Radiation Protection Regulation §42 and Annex 8 of Gen.RP.Reg. amended by Federal Law Gazette II No. 191/2006 in version Federal Law Gazette II Nr. 76/2012.

Contents

according to General Radiation Protection Regulation §42 Annex 8C, among others:

  • Fields of application for high activity sealed radioactive sources
  • Dose reconstruction, risk assessment
  • Emergency preparedness and response
  • Calculation exercises

Target Group

Persons, who want to work as radiation protection officer or other persons responsible for radiation protection in connection with non medical applications of high activity radioactive radiation sources.

Requirements

Successfully completed basic RP course

Successfully completed specific course for handling sealed radioactive sources and industrial x-ray devices

Course start at 8:30

A detailed program with course dates/times will be announced in due time.

Goal

A certificate from the Seibersdorf Academy (in German and English) is issued after successfully passing the exam.

All prices are exclusive VAT and include participation and - depending on the type of course, unless otherwise stated - scripts, personal dosimetry, examination fee, issue of certificates as well as lunch and refreshments. All prices are valid until 30th April 2020. A course unit equals 45 Minutes. Seibersdorf Academy reserves the right to alter the program and printing errors. In the case of changes, participants will be informed in a timely and appropriate manner.

There is no charge for cancellation provided this is received in writing at least 14 days before the event is due to start. Within 14 days of the start of the event, a cancellation charge of 20% will be incurred and from the day of the beginning of the course the participant contribution is payable in full.
